Welcome!

The Jackson County Horse & Harness Association is made up of horse loving enthusiasts who love working with horses and mules. Our goal is to acquaint people with the history of farming with horses and horse powered equipment.

 

The club at present time consists of 37 families. Throughout the year, the members harness their horses & mules and participate in thresher events, horse pulls, plowing demonstrations, as well as giving rides to several hundred people at the Jackson County Pro Rodeo. 

 

Each year we farm 5 acres from start to finish, which consists of plowing, discing, harrowing and planting corn using only horses and mules. In the fall the corn is harvested by hand at our annual corn picking contest.
